AboutMe

Jessica was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She has always had a passion for the arts and relishes in creating pieces using different medium of art.

Jessica believes that her artwork is a reflection of who she is and her surroundings. Her joy for creating art was inspired by her maternal grandmother who was a seamstress. While growing up, she would sit by her grandmother and watch her create beautiful garments. Eventually, she learned how to sew and from that point she moved on to drawing, painting, photography and graphic design.

While in Boston, Jessica has participated in several art shows and 4 years ago, when she moved to Washington, DC to pursue professional training in the arts; she hosted her first solo exhibition. She has changed her major from pre-med to Graphic Design and have graduated in May 2020 from the University of the District of Columbia. She plans to attend University of Maryland University College where she will major in Graphic Communications. She aspires to create an abundance of art with a focus on the representation of black culture.
